The career progression we offer to staff is important to us. We want to help our staff to grow and reach their full potential. For this reason, we conduct annual appraisals, end of project assessments, and also give staff access to an extensive internal training catalogue. This is combined with on-project coaching and line manager catch-ups, to ensure that each individual member of the team is meeting their own individual career goals and going in a direction that’s right for them.
We actively encourage our staff to gain formal certifications, such as Magento, AWS or MySQL. We provide them with the study guides, exam vouchers, and time off for self-study, and put them in touch with other people internally studying for the same certifications, so that they can form study-groups.
Conferences provide a great opportunity for our team to mix with like-minded people, as well as being an excellent place to learn. We actively encourage our developers to attend industry relevant conferences and provide up to 5 conference days per year to support this.
247 Commerce software engineers begin their career with us on a 1-week-long Bootcamp covering all our core knowledge areas. This enables new team members to get up to speed with our delivery processes and includes topics such as Magento, Agile and Scrum.
